Steak Sauce with a Zip

Serve this tasty steak zip sauce recipe for your Heartland Certified Angus Beef® as a zippy substitute for bottled steak sauces.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 tsp. dried, crushed thyme
  • 1 tsp. dried, crushed rosemary
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. dried parsley
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper, coarse
  • 1 T. Dijon mustard
  • 1 1/2 T. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1/3 cup beef steak drippings

Directions

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Stir in the garlic powder, thyme, parsley, rosemary and salt.
  3. Mix in the Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and cumin warming gently for approximately 1 minute.
  4. Mix equal parts of the sauce with beef steak drippings prior to serving.
