Southwest Skirt Steak from Heartland Steaks

Ingredients

  • 1 2-lb. skirt steak
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 16-ounce jar salsa
  • 3 tablespoons cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. In a large Ziploc bag, combine half of the jar of garlic salsa with oregano, sugar, salt, and oregano.
  2. Add the steak and marinate for at least 2 hours.
  3. Preheat grill to high heat..
  4. Remove the steak from the marinade and place on grill, searing each side for approximately 4 to 5 minutes, or until desired doneness.
  5. Remove from grill and slice against the grain in thin slices.
  6. Serve with remaining salsa for an added kick.

Makes 4 servings
