Sirloin Steak Beef and Bows Alfredo

  • 1 lb. Certified Angus Beef® Top Sirloin Steak, cut into small strips (1/4 x 1/4 x 1 inch)
  • 2/3 cup chopped red bell pepper
  • 8 oz. fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 10 oz. (4 cups dry) bow tie pasta
  • 2 (8 oz.) packages frozen asparagus cuts
  • 2 (10 oz.) containers prepared light Alfredo sauce
  • 1/4 cup (1 oz.) blanched slivered almonds, lightly toasted (optional)
  • Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Course ground pepper (optional)

Directions

  1. Prepare pasta and asparagus according to package directions.
  2. Spray large, non-stick skillet with vegetable spray; brown beef over medium-high heat for 2 minutes. Add peppers and mushrooms; sautee 3-5 minutes or until mushrooms are tender. Add pasta and asparagus.
  3. Add Alfredo sauce and almonds if desired; heat just until hot throughout, 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly do not boil. Top with Parmesan cheese and pepper if desired. Serve immediately.

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Cooking time: 10 to 15 minutes
