Simple and Succulent Porterhouse Steak

Ingredients
  • One 24 oz. Angus or prime porterhouse steak, 1.5 inches thick
  • Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
  • Extra-virgin olive oil
Directions
  1. Heat broiler to high and season both sides of steak with salt and pepper. Brush both sides with a light coating of olive oil.
  2. Put meat in broiler pan and place in broiler.
  3. Broil for 9 minutes, turn, and broil for another 9 minutes for medium-rare steaks.
  4. When done cooking, remove steak from broiler and let rest for around 8 minutes before you serve.
  5. *Add your favorite sauce to this perfect steak
