| Rib Eye with Plum Sauce - Heartland Steaks |

Steak Ingredients
- 6 boneless rib eye steaks -- 6 oz each
- 1/4 cup red vermouth OR chicken broth
- 5 tablespoons steak sauce
- 4 garlic cloves, peeled
- 3 plums, sliced and pitted
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
Plum Sauce Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
- 4 teaspoons chopped fresh ginger
- 2 small onion, chopped finely
- 2 tablespoon bottled mango chutney
- 8 plums, cubed and pitted
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup apple juice
- 2 tablespoon lime juice
Steak Instructions
- Mix together red vermouth or chicken broth, steak sauce, garlic cloves, plums, and olive oil.
- Pour marinade into deep dish for marinating.
- Place steaks in marinating dish and marinate for at least 3 hours.
Plum Sauce Instructions
- Combine onion and olive oil in small saucepan and cook over low heat for 5-6 minutes or until softened.
- Combine cilantro, ginger, chutney, plums, apple juice, and lime juice in a medium mixing bowl.
- Mix well and set aside.
Cooking Instructions
- Preheat grill to medium high heat
- Place marinated steaks on grill and sear approximately 6 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness.
- When done, remove steaks from grill and place on a plate.
- Spoon plum sauce over steaks and serve.
Makes 6 servings
