Pepper Cream Steak Sauce


Certified Angus Beef ® T-Bone Steak
Try this delicious homemade creamy steak sauce recipe for your Certified Angus Beef® as a tasty replacement for bottled steak sauces.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup beef stock or broth
  • 3 T. cognac
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 T. green peppercorns in brine, drained and slightly crushed

Directions

  1. Add stock or broth to a sauté pan (if using the same pan that meat was cooked in, whisk until all the crispy bits on the bottom of the pan are unstuck).
  2. Let the liquid reduce for 3-4 minutes on medium-high heat.
  3. Add cognac, cream, and peppercorns to the pan. Increase temperature to high and whisk constantly, until the sauce thickens enough to coat a spoon. This will be around 5-7 minutes.
  4. Season sauce to taste with salt. Top steaks immediately with the sauce and serve.
