- 1 1/2 pounds (680 g) Certified Angus Beef ? Top Sirloin Steak, cut into strips
- 1 recipe Deliciously Bold Marinade (recipe below)
- 3/4 cup (175 ml) olive oil
- 3 large ripe tomatoes, cut in half
- 6 ounces (175 g) feta cheese
- 1/3 cup (75 ml) chopped fresh oregano
- Rosemary as needed for garnish
- 6 metal skewers*
Deliciously Bold Marinade
- 1 cup (250 ml) beef broth
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) red wine
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Italian seasoning
Directions
- Place sirloin steak strips and marinade in zipper-locking plastic bag and refrigerate 2 hours.
- Role each strip of steak and thread onto skewers. Season with salt and pepper, and grill beef to desired doneness.
- To serve, put 2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil on each plate. Squeeze one tomato half over each plate. Tear tomato into pieces and place around the plate. Top with feta, fresh oregano and rosemary. Place one steak kabob on each plate.
Chefs Note: Serve with hearty, bakery-fresh bread.
(If using bamboo skewers, soak in water one hour before using.)
