Glazed Beef Kabobs

  • 1 lb. Certified Angus Beef ® Top Sirloin Steak, cut in 1-inch cubes
  • 1 medium sweet onion, quartered and separated
  • 8 whole fresh mushrooms
  • 1 large red or green bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces

Basting Glaze:

  • 1/3 cup currant, grape or apple jelly
  • 1/4 cup bottled barbecue sauce
  • 1 tsp. prepared mustard
  • On 4 long metal skewers, alternately thread sirloin steak , onions, mushrooms and peppers.

Directions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine basting glaze ingredients; heat over medium heat until jelly melts, about 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly. Brush glaze on kabobs, reserving half of the glaze for later.
  2. Grill kabobs on grill rack over medium-hot coals (or broil on broiling pan in oven about 4 inches from heat source) for 12-14 minutes or until beef is at the desired doneness, turn once and baste with glaze half-way through grilling-broiling time.

Serve kabobs over rice. Preparation time: 10 to 15 minutes. Cooking time: 12 to 14 minutes.

Serves 4.
