Chicken Fried Pork with Jalapeno Sauce

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork chops
  • Salt and fresh ground pepper to taste
  • 2 T. all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. salt-free garlic and herb seasoning
  • 1 T. olive oil
  • 1/2 cup low sodium beef broth
  • 1/2 cup chopped pickled jalapenos
  • 1/4 cup honey

Directions

  1. Place pork in between sheets of plastic wrap and pound until around ½ inch thick. Season each side with pepper and salt.
  2. Combine flour and garlic and herb seasoning into a shallow dish. Mix and add pork to mixture, coating on both sides.
  3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork and cook 2 minutes on each side.
  4. While pork cooks mix beef broth, honey, and jalapenos in a small bowl. Add to pork and bring to a simmer for 3-5 minutes.
  5. Simmer until pork is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.

Makes 4 servings
