Beef Caesar Salad

Preparation time: 10 minutes (excluding marinating time)

Cooking time: 6-10 minutes

  • 2 8oz. Certified Angus Beef ® Top Sirloin Steaks
  • 1 (8 ounce or 250 ml) bottle low fat or light Caesar salad dressing
  • 1 head Romaine lettuce, torn into pieces
  • 1/2 small head radicchio lettuce, torn into pieces
  • 1 cup (125 ml) herb or garlic seasoned croutons
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. Place top sirloin steak in zipper-locking plastic bag. Shake dressing well; reserve 1/3 cup (75 ml) dressing; pour remaining salad dressing 2/3 cup (150 ml) over beef. Close bag forcing out air; refrigerate and marinate steak 1-1/2 to 2 hours.
  2. Remove steak from marinade; discard marinade. Broil or grill steak 3 inches (76 mm) from source of heat for 3 to 5 minutes per side, or until center is still pink. Rest for 3 to 5 minutes. Slice across the grain into 1/4 x 1 inch (6 x 25 mm) strips.
  3. In large bowl, toss beef, Romaine lettuce, raddicio lettuce and croutons with remaining Caesar dressing. Add steak . Sprinkle with Parmesan and serve.

Serves 4.
