Heading to the big game and tailgating or going back to school to tailgate with friends can be a ton of fun. Watching our favorite teams play, hanging out with old friends, and talking about old times provides us with a ton of entertainment. This is all wonderful but we are forgetting about something very important; one of the best things and the main feature of tailgating is the food. There is a ton of chicken, hot dogs, Heartland Steaks Certified Angus Beef Steak Burgers and sausages that are eaten during tailgate.

There are a number of explanations for the origin of the name of Thanksgiving's favorite dinner guest. Some believe Christopher Columbus thought that the land he discovered was connected to India, and believed the bird he discovered (the turkey) was a type of peacock. He therefore called it 'tuka,' which is 'peacock' in Tamil, an Indian language.
