As the winter comes to a close and spring is almost here, for all of you
that put the grill away for the winter months it’s time to start grilling
again and fill your grill with
Certified Angus Beef ® from Heartland Steaks.
When it comes to getting your gas grill ready for the grilling season a quick cleaning is the first step in the pre-summer prep. Start by heating the grill on high with the lid closed for ten to fifteen minutes to burn off all the food particles and grease that’s been stuck on the grates on the grates. Next allow the grill to cool completely and brush down the grates with a brass grill brush. Remove the flavorizer bars, soak and clean with soap and water or use oven cleaner and rinse them well, and allow them to dry. After you’ve done that, scoop out and clean the sides and bottom of the grill with soap, water, and a plastic brush. Finally, clean out the grease trap and allow the grill to dry completely. When that’s complete reassemble the grill.
Finally when the grill is completely dry, light it again and heat on high for a few minutes and let all the moisture out, then turn it off and let it cool off and be ready for the next time you are ready to grill Heartland Steaks Signature Complete trim Certified Angus Beef ® Filet Mignon.
Prior to your first grilling as a precautionary step to keep rust at bay, when the grill is completely cool, a light spray coat of canola oil on the entire inside prior to your first grilling. This will help with preventing rust from forming and make the interior easier to clean in the future.

Spring is around the corner – it’s the best time to uncover and fire up your grill, invite family and friends over, and enjoy mouth watering

The key to making a mouthwatering cheeseburger is by selecting top quality meat, our
Certified Angus Beef ® Steakburgers will absolutely impress you and your guests alike. Prior to grilling you burgers seasoning is key try our private label steak seasoning. Now, hurry to the grill!
Be sure you grill rack is clean and oiled so your patties don’t stick to the grill. Try not to touch burgers while they are on the grill until they need to be turned, cook for three minutes, turn each one a quarter turn and continue grilling for three minutes, this will give you the perfect cross hatch grill marks you want. Flip and repeat on the other side. One of the most important things to remember is, after removing a burger from the grill, set it aside and allow it to stand for 1 minute, allowing the juices to stabilize. Now dress your burger and say mmmmmm.
